Thursday 5 June was World Environment Day.
We celebrated by having a Walk To School and Green Day. We encouraged everyone to dress in green and come to school in a TravelWise way. Being TravelWise is a fantastic way to help the environment and stay healthy!
At 10am we had a special assembly. Room 17 did a wonderful job of reminding us of different ways to look after our school environment. We were all very excited to hear about the new chickens at school, which are being looked after by Room 6.
We challenged children to bring a wrapper free lunch to school. It was great to see so many environmentally friendly lunchboxes at school.
Classes went out during the day to weed, sweep and tidy up our environment. It was fantastic to see the improvements everyone made – well done!
