Owai's Got Talent 2014

After several weeks of planning we had our first ever Owai’s Got Talent.
Our students shared all sorts of talents and skills in team level heats and came together for a grand final on Friday 14th November. The competition was fierce but in the end, worthy winners were chosen. Congratulations to Lukas who came in first place and also to Saskia and Dwayne who came in second and third. We also need to acknowledge the work done by the two students who organised the whole event – well done Alice and Lizzy!
Check out our video to see selected highlights from the final.

Walk to School and Green Day Term four 2014

Wow – we certainly had Spring weather today!
Well done to all of the children and adults who came to school in a TravelWise way.  Some of you braved the rain to come on your bike, scooter, skateboard or walk.  Awesome!
Mrs Williams gave classes a Green Day challenge.  Each class went outside to sketch a part of our school environment.  The best picture from each class will be displayed on our new Vision Map that is going up in the office foyer.  We can’t wait to see the amazing pictures the children did!
Being Green Day, we also spent some time looking after our school environment – tidying, weeding and  sweeping.
It was a great day!
