Today was Green Day & Walk To School Day
Everyone dressed up in green and came ready to help improve the school environment.
In the morning we had a special assembly. Room 19 showed us their recycled bags – they looked amazing! Mrs Tregoweth talked about the school environment and encouraged us all to keep up our green efforts next year.
We also had a special guest come to our assembly – Barnabee! This dancing bee was very impressed with all of our Enviro projects and thought our school looked fantastic! Our thanks to the Beehive Bacon Company for providing morning tea for our children.
After assembly, classes spent some time caring for our school environment. Activities included sweeping, tidying, weeding and watering the gardens. The school environment is looking much better now!
Thanks to all of the children and adults that came to school by walking or riding a scooter. Being TravelWise is good for your health and fantastic for the environment. Leaving the car at home means less pollution and reduced chaos at our school gate.
